Short Wheel Base Transit

Tough, durable, reliable and efficient

The SWB Ford transits are ideal for around town driving, but there is no compromise on loadbox functionality.

Ford Transit SWB vans are, dependent on model, available in low and medium roof derivatives. Whichever model you choose, your van will be able to accommodate 8’x4’ building boards horizontally or vertically. Maximum load length 2.6m.

The Transit Short Wheel Base is available in the following models: Van 260 SWB / Van 280 SWB / Van 300 SWB

Medium Wheel Base Transit

MWB vans provide an impressive 2949mm loadspace with the ability to carry
8’ x 4’ boards horizontally or vertically

Ford Transit MWB vans are available in medium and high roof derivatives. Maximum load length 2.95m.

The Medium Wheel Base Transit is available in the following models: Van 280 MWB / Van 300 MWB / Van 330 MWB / Van 350 MWB

Long Wheel Base Transit

Convenience and productivity

On long wheelbase models, a best-in-class wider-opening side door enables faster, easier loading and there’s the option (available at extra cost), of a second side load-door. Tie-down eyes and sidewall load restraints are standard and, together with a choice of optional bulkheads, add to the convenience of this extremely productive workhorse.

Ford Transit LWB vans can be specified with either a medium or high roof and can easily accommodate four 1.2m x 0.8m Europallets. Maximum load length 3.4m.

With a loadspace length of 3399mm, LWB vans can accommodate all kinds of awkward loads

The Long Wheel Base Transit is available in the following models; Van 300 LWB / Van 330 LWB/ Van 350 LWB.

Extended Length/Extended Frame

‘Jumbo’ van

The LWB extended load length has the same 3750mm wheelbase as other LWB Transits, plus an impressive 4107mm loadspace length, ideal for carpet/vinyl rolls and pipe lengths up to 4m long

The extended load length van also has a high roof which can easily accommodate five 1.2m x 0.8m Europallets.

Transit Chassis Cabs

Ford Transit chassis cabs enable you to specify the ideal vehicle for your working need. They are literally a foundation on which to build your business.

With correct mounting, virtually any kind of body can be fitted on the strong ladder-frame chassis – from platforms, tippers, boxes and dropsides to more specialised bodies like curtain-siders. Each chassis model features flat, strong, low frame rails, which allow for bodywork with minimum loading height.

Chassis cabs have three seats. All seats have three-point lap and diagonal seat belts. A new back panel provides more in-cab space and comfort. It incorporates a fixed glass window, which has been designed to eliminate reflection.
