Lower CO2 Diesel and Flexifuel engines We are determined to reduce the environmental impact of our vehicles through technology. Our engineers have worked hard to deliver a Focus that emits lower CO2 emissions. The result is the innnovative Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi, which emits just 118 g/km of CO2; a class-leading level. In addition, the Focus is available with a Flexifuel engine that runs on bioethanol (E85) fuel, which emits 70% less CO2 than a standard petrol engine. If you are running low on fuel and bioethanol is not readily available, you can use petrol until you next need to fill up.

In Ireland the bulk of E85 is produced by Carbury Milk Products in West Cork as a byproduct of their cheese-making industry and distributed by Maxol Ireland.

Ford Flexifuel vehicles qualify for a VRT reduction of 50% up to a maximum of €2,500. Ford Flexifuel vehicles also qualify for an insurance reduction of up to 20% from Ford Insure. VAT registered companies may also claim the VAT paid on E85.

Entertainment and information system A DAB Sony entertainment system (standard on Titanium models) features a digital DAB radio that eliminates any interference, plus high-output speakers that make every note pin sharp. This system is also compatible with your MP3 player. As part of the optional Communications Pack, you can plug in your USB device or MP3 player and see your favourite tracks appear on the car’s display. To control the music, just operate the toggles on the steering wheel, or use voice commands to operate the Bluetooth®* with Voice Control technology. (Coming soon….)

Dual Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC) Select a temperature that's perfect for you, and a different one for your passenger. Ford Focus will keep it that way with its advanced DEATC air conditioning that has left and right zones, controllable by 0.5ºC increments. This option is available on selected models.
